What is IOT ?

The Internet of things (IOT), or "things," that are implanted with sensors, software, and other technologies for the purpose of communicating and exchanging data with other devices and systems through the internet is referred to as the Internet of Things (IoT). These gadgets include anything from common domestic items to high-tech industrial gear. Now, there are more than 7 billion linked IoT devices, and according to analysts, there will be 10 billion by 2020 and 22 billion by 2025.

Why is it important ?

Devices may gather a lot of data from a variety of sources thanks to their various sensors, providing them additional information with which to act on the data they receive. Smartphones are a perfect illustration. The gadget continuously monitors your behaviour on its interface and offers recommendations depending on your habits, where you are, and your age. The phone can also monitor a variety of activities. Users' daily screen time, electricity use, and sleeping habits are all included in this. To enhance the functions of their devices, smartphone manufacturers get enormous volumes of data every day.
Companies can quickly identify their strengths and shortcomings thanks to the continual input of big data, which enables them to spot use patterns for their products. Without the assistance of integrated sensors and processors that evaluate the data, this insight would not be feasible.
